LOCATION
Only 15 minutes on the Lighthouse Route towards Riverport from the town of Bridgewater and a little less to the Heritage Town of Lunenburg, this property is a quick commute to either. The Rhein of Nova Scotia, the LaHave River, is wide and pretty with deep water at your doorstep for boating. A rural setting but close to all the main amenities. The LaHave Ferry and Bakery are a 5 minute drive. Sandy beaches in Kingsburg or Cresent Beach are about 15 minutes down the road. The LaHave River Yacht Club is directly across this property, a picture perfect place for watching boats sail by. Halifax is an hours drive and the International Airport is 1 1/2 hours.
THE PROPERTY
This 108-acre old-farm property takes in a wide swath as it runs thru the Bear Hills overlooking broad expanses of the marvelous LaHave River. Don’t be dismayed by the collection of derelict farm buildings at the property’s entrance for the treasures are to be found in the expansive hilltop meadows, of which there are several. More or less bisected by a brook the land rises as it rolls along encompassing some of the loftiest hills in the area. By estimate, there are approx. 20 acres of fields with stunning views from almost every vantage point. The backland has been harvested in recent years. While this unusual property has good development potential that, in our opinion, is far surpassed by its possibilities as a highly spectacular farm. No others could compare. There are several old buildings, including a house, on the property. Access to the buildings is prohibited as they may not be safe. There is waterfront across the road but the extent of the land and frontage are to be determine
