Anne Bailly brings her vast knowledge of the Lunenburg area and the expertise of a local business owner to the real estate world. Born and raised here, Anne can trace her roots in the community back to the founding families of Lunenburg in 1753. Her family’s entrepreneurial history runs just as deep – beginning with the town’s first school teacher, the opening of one of the first black smith’s shops, and a family-owned home heating business, Bailly’s Fuels, which operated for 93 years. Anne owned and operated the business over the two last decade, including starting Bailly Heating in 2000, in office space two streets up from Lunenburg’s historic harbour.
Anne believes that if you treasure a community, you should give back to it. She has held seats on many boards, including the South Shore Hospital Foundation, South Shore Minor Hockey and Mahone Island Conservation Association. Currently, she is a board member for the the Lunenburg Marine Museum Society, which operators of the popular Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic and the famous Bluenose ll , and the Lunenburg Fisherman's Memorial Society.
Anne lives in Sunnybrook, a small community between Lunenburg and Mahone Bay, with her husband, Tom Dauphinee and her son Thomas, who attends Queens University. In her free time, you can usually find Anne on the water, boating, swimming or paddle boarding. And just to keep life interesting, she also has a lively five-year-old Irish Setter named Finn.
